Cookie Policy

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, which cookies we use on Literary Retail Academy, and how you can control optional cookies through your preferences.

This Cookie Policy supplements our Privacy Policy, which describes how we handle personal data more broadly.

Last Updated: March 12, 2026

1) What cookies are

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help the site remember your preferences (for example, a cookie choice), maintain a session, and understand how visitors use pages over time. Some cookies are set by us (first-party cookies). Others are set by service providers that help us run or measure the site (third-party cookies).

In addition to cookies, websites sometimes use pixel tags or similar technologies. These can record events such as page views and form submissions. Where those technologies are used, we treat them under the same categories as cookies: Essential, Analytics, and Marketing.

2) Cookie lifespan and origin

  • Session cookies exist only while your browser is open and typically expire when you close it.
  • Persistent cookies remain on your device for a set period, or until you delete them, and help remember choices between visits.
  • First-party cookies are set by Literary Retail Academy.
  • Third-party cookies are set by providers such as analytics or advertising platforms.

3) Categories of cookies we use

Essential cookies (always active)

Essential cookies are required for the site to function. They include cookies used for basic session continuity and storing your cookie choice. These cookies do not require consent because they enable core site features and security controls.

Analytics cookies (optional)

Analytics cookies help us understand which pages are visited, how long visitors spend on a page, and which links are used. This helps us improve course pages, clarify lessons, and keep navigation straightforward. Analytics cookies are used only if you allow them in the cookie preferences panel.

When enabled, we may use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) with IP anonymization where supported. We use aggregated reporting to evaluate content performance (for example, whether learners reach the Registration Form from Course Overview).

Marketing cookies (optional)

Marketing cookies are used to measure advertising performance and, where applicable, to show relevant messages to people who have visited the site. They can support conversion attribution (for example, when someone submits the registration form after clicking an ad) and audience building (for example, remarketing lists or lookalike audiences). Marketing cookies are used only if you allow them in the cookie preferences panel.

4) Cookie table

The table below lists the cookies commonly used on this site. Some third-party cookies may appear only if the related feature is enabled and you have provided consent.

5) Third-party providers

We may use the following providers when the corresponding cookie category is enabled:

  • Google LLC (Google Analytics 4, Google Ads, Google Tag Manager) for analytics and advertising measurement.
  • Meta Platforms, Inc. (Meta Pixel, related conversion measurement) for advertising measurement and audience features.
  • Cloudflare for security and performance features such as content delivery and abuse prevention.

We do not permit these providers to use site data for their own independent commercial purposes. Their processing is limited to providing services to us and operating their platforms under their terms and privacy policies.

6) How to manage cookies

You can manage your choices at any time using the “Manage cookie preferences” link in the footer of the site. You can also control cookies through your browser settings, including deleting existing cookies and blocking future cookies. If you block essential cookies, parts of the site may not function correctly.
